Lyophilisate for preparation of suspension for subcutaneous injection. Live combined typhus vaccine E – 20 doses per ampoule. Solvent - sodium chloride, a solvent for the preparation of injection dosage forms, 0.9% - 5 ml ampoules. 5 ampoules of the vaccine and 5 ampoules of the solvent in each cardboard package with an ampoule cutter and a package insert (If the ampoule has a score line, a ring or a dot, an ampoule cutter may be not inserted).
The live combined typhus vaccine E (LCTV-E), a lyophilisate for the suspension for subcutaneous injection, is a suspension of live Rickettsia Prowazekii of Madrid E vaccine strains grown in tissues yolk sacs of developing chicken embryos, in combination with a soluble antigen from R. Prowazekii of the virulent Breynl strain freeze-dried in a sterile skimmed milk.
One vaccination dose - 0.25 ml – contains 1,000 to 100,000 minimum infectious doses of Rickettsia for chick embryos (MIDe) and at least 16 antigenic units of soluble antigen in titration of the complement fixation. Excipients: sterile skimmed cow's milk.
Specific prevention of typhus in persons aged 18 to 60 years old. The vaccine is used on epidemiological indications in situations that pose a threat of infection with typhus, as well as for the protection of laboratory personnel working with R. Prowazekii.
